Greater alchemist's fire can be brewed by dissolving fire salts, volcanic ash, and the crushed leaves of the fire crocus in a mixture of 9 parts oil, 1 part quicklime, and 1 part sulfur.

While most of the components are found in any common alchemist's store, the fire crocus is an altogether different animal; it is a rare flower found only on the slopes of Mt. Otemba on the island of Onaona in the Dragon Crescent.
